I have been having a look at the Scottish route again, and have reassessed the final day, which only went as far as John O’Groats. I will then have to get to Thurso, so have added that portion of the trip as well. I also now visit mainland Scotland’s most northerly point, which isn’t, as commonly thought, at J O’G, but at Dunnet Head lighthouse, which is 2.35 miles further north. The true distance for the day is now 81 miles, giving a total distance for the trip of 511 miles.
